Hey!

My main computer (for DAoC) suddenly today stopped being able to reach the internet.

I was plain surfing around and running Lavasoft Adware for a clean-up in the background (it was done some before the problem accuring, dont think it could be it is the source, but if some have any info, it would be nice?) when i suddenly lost internet connection...

Sometimes our router and one of our switches make a conflict, kicking some comps from the network, so I right-clicked my lan connection, choose "Repair" and tried again, still no internet..

I figured the ADSL modem might have kicked out, so rebooted it and waited some, still no luck...

Rebooted the comp, no luck

Got my laptop up, it had connection (plugged to same switch) and made sure every setting in LAN-connection and InternetExplore was alike (Except the last digits in the IP, ofc)

I have connection to the network (My main comp can see my laptop through network, but still not connect to internet, even tho laptop is working fine)

Every other computer in the house is still on the network and have internet, it just suddenly kicked out on my computer, spec is:

AMD64 Athlon 3200+´(2,2Ghz)
1gb DDR 400mhz RAM
10/100/1000 LAN Card from Marvell Yukon Gigabit, Copper RJ-45
128mb GFX Excalibur Radeon 9800 Pro Card
Asus SE buttomcard (dunno english word, sorry, think you call it PSU?)

Anyone have any suggestions or anything about what is wrong?

Sounds like your TCP/IP took a hit, have you tried uninstall and reinstall it? Any events in your event log? Checked for virus and AD-ware after the kick off? Tried to switch the NIC?

You might wanna check if your pc turns off things if it ain't used (sleep/standby mode).

Had same problem with router, and just let it auto assign an Interal IP, and it was ok after then.
