Ok. Played catacombs fine yesterday for bout 5 hours non stop.

Loaded it up today, fine for an hour or so. Then i loaded it up again and i got ingame, was ok for roughly 5 minutes then the screen flicked and 'skewed' the screen of daoc and eventually stopped only for me to find daoc was crashed.

This has only happened later today and I tried windows update, reinstalling, directx etc. but it still does it.

I considered overheating but 2 fans in the laptop so i cant see tht being the problem.

Any ideas?

Only happened recently and i've not touched the laptop cept for catacombs.

I had my dell fry it's motherboard after a prolonged rvr sesh one night. only noticed the next day. I now have it on a laptop cooler pad constantly, 2 fans doesn't NOT mean its getting adequate cooling, chances are it's fried. worth reinstalling software first, try running another game on it if you can that's fairly intensive (GTA or HL2)

That's gonna be overheating for sure.

You could have 12 fans in there if they're not blowing in the right direction they could just be canceling each other out. (meaning the "there is 2 fans so it can't be overheating" assumption is wrong)

So if i've fried it... I have to buy a new one?

Thats like saying "If I blow up my car, do I have to get a new one?".

The answer is.. wait for it.. yes. :(
