SOE only ever accept credit cards, had a good few arguments with them about this and they ain't budging.


Oh, you can get gamecards but you require a credit card to buy them, go figure :|

trust me i work as a programmer for a multinational bank

and you dont wanna know how unsecure switch transactions are

thats the main reason that people dont take them coz its about as secure as making paper airplanes of your money and throwing them out the window at the vendors

All that's needed now is to persuade SOE to ship gamecards internationally and bobs yer uncle

I have done, but that's not the point of what i said, they could at least make an effort to allow gamecards to be used internationally, not everyone has or wants to use a credit card for every little transaction they make :/

As well as security there is the simple fact that Switch isn't an international card where as VISA/Mastercard both are and most companies won't do localisation because of the extra costs involved.

You can use Visa electron debit card, even though it isnt listed.
You can get them at some building societies such as Alliance & Leicester with a current acct.
