Stuttering problem

Aparently some people have problems with freezes in game, having spoken to some guys over at MUP they recommend disabling the joystick port if you don't have a joystick plugged into it as the game polls every now and then for a joystick, not finding one there causes it to hang for a second or two.

I also found it stutters if its in 44(k?)hz in the Sound Options... knocking it down to 22(k?)hz seems to make it better somewhat...

Altho i will try that Joystick port thing... coz it still judders a little bit

Do you disable the joystick thing in the game? or in Windows itself?

My version of BF1942 seems to freeze completely after a game has ended and a new one is being loaded....

Is this the same problem or something different?
