Stupid Xbox Live question from a stupid, stupid person.

Well my Comp has finally expired and gone to pc heaven and I'm already getting the shakes from online gaming withdrawal when I had one of my so called bright ideas.

XBox Live!

But from the restricted internet access at work I seem to get two contradicting messages for what I need to run it,

i.e: Needs a PC or doesnt need a PC

I have a cable modem and a broadband connection but just a lump of melted beige plastic for a computer. Can't check the obvious place, Xbox.com to find out and ntl are trying to sell me some bloody package including routers etc and upping my bloody connection cost as well!



Now if someone knows or even feels like posting a link to somewhere that gets past my frickin blocked access for me to find out myself I'd be eternally (thats all week to you and me) grateful.

Well, I can't give you any sure answer but I'm pretty confident that if you have an rj45 connection on your cable modem (which afaik most do) then you can plug it straight in to your xbox.

You can try out the connection without paying for live though, so give it a go.
