Hmm. Some time ago i was working at a mexican restaurant. REALLY good food there, high qual stuff etc. But they had this bean stuff. Some brown substance with beans - tasted of beans of course, but also a little sweet and had a very nice consistency. Well they served it along with burritos, chimichangas tortillas etc, but i have NO idea of what its called - Any help? :D

I know we have a few dutch people here so here is something i tasted in Holland but never found out what it was.
I got some french fries and didn't get ketchup or salad dressing or the usually stuff you get on the side. (where i'm from ofc)
But this white'ish stuff, kinda cheesy. Was heavenly. Givf name dutchies ;)

get 3 decent size potatoes, cut them nice and thin (keep the skins on) fry them in a little olive oil, pinch of salt. when they are slightly crispy stick them in a bowl with grated cheese, sour cream and chives. one of those little discovery jars is enough, as much cheese as you like, serves 2 - best pre mexican snack food ever! :)

When I was in greece last summer, I had the nicest meal ever.

It came on a plate and looked like a folded up (and bulging) newspaper (except it was white paper).
When you tore open the paper, there was lamb, juice, veg and potatoes all moist and yummy.
Damn it was good. Anybody got a name?

sounds like a curry of some sort.

im sure though without the name, you could make it your self. you seem to know all the ingredients :p

It wasnt a curry, not at all spicy, it was like a roast but cooked in paper to keep the flavour in. I could have a go at it, but I'd rather try from a recipy that go totally experimental.

It sounds almost like Jamie Olivers Chicken in a bag recipe apart from there being Lamb in yours.

Basically make an envelope from Tin foil I am assuming the white thing they used was similar.

1 Chicken Breast, some vegetables, white wine and Thyme.

Stick them all in the tin foil envelope, cook for about 35 minutes, the bag should be bloated from the cooking. Simple recipe which can be changed to suit whatever veg meat you desire. When you cut into the bag the smell is amazing.
