Next stage of the move is to get insured, kinda useful I guess. Been insured in halls of residence by Endsleigh for the past two years, always seem ok and the top-ups have been affordable.

Did a quote with them to cover me (possessions+puter) in the new house (Binfield, Bracknell) and it suggested £114. Does this sound reasonable? Comp + bits insured for around £2000 + possessions up to £4000. Also has things like replacement locks included should we ever need them.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look for decent student insurance? Any reason to avoid anyone in particular?

sounds good to me.....tbh endsleigh are pretty much your best bet for student insurance imo. I use them for my car insurance and SAS uses them for contents insurance as well. They always seem to give us a good deal. But if anyone else knows of cheaper/better student insurance i would be keen to hear about it as well. :)

I used the AA for a couple of years and have now switched to AXA (who I was actually insured with via the AA). Worth trying a few online places for quotes I guess.

When I was at Uni I was insured on my parent's home insurance (it was apparently just a low cost extension of the policy they already had). Worth looking into :)
