Strange pointer flicker

Just recently ive been playing daoc with my battlefiends infi and i seem to be getting a really weird thing happening with my pointer in game. I have a usb mouse (optical). before i let you know the actual problem just to let you know my mouselook key is set to left alt. THe problem is when i press this key to get the mouse pointer up the pointer is flickering and from what i can see it seems to be warping back and forward from the centre of the screen to the actual mouse position. When i try to click on an item its hard to pick it up or move it and when an item is moved in inventory you can see the square warping from the centre of the screen to the pointer position. Bear in mind its doing this extremely fast. Im not sure if its something to do with windows xp or anything but this is the first time ive ever really had this problem anyone else had this problem or know a fix?

Yup, i have exactly the same problem. Dunno if its relevant, but it started after a reinstall of XP.

its a direct x problem.
install a fresh copy of direct x and some new drivers over the top.

My brother has had this problem too since he got new PC and we installed XP on it.

I never had any problems like that on my XP..

It's like when you press the mouselook key, it's going on and off all the time. And it happens with all other keys though it's not as easy to see.

How can Direct X be reinstalled ?
Did you have same problem, salty, and that fixed it ?

I have same problem since I turned down hardware acceleration a notch, and installed latest catalyst 3.0 and dx9 drivers.

I installed directx 9 too but it didn't help, problem is still there.

Same as me, turned it down and forgot about it for fixing some comp probs, all worked when i turned it up full again
