Spec'd in 2 Hander, Thrust and Chants

2 Handed thrust = Insane damage to chain wearers.

Try it, it's fun! Also, Hendrick can make a special "Crafted only" weapon which is really nice.

Oh and amazingly there's a barfog 2handed thrust drop which would be nice for anyone who gets their pally to level 50. I'm working on it furiously, it's insane amounts of fun and even better, you never again need argue with another pally or armsman about drops

I think i read somewhere that saracens cant become paladins. better check before you level from 1 - 5

I think they can but my experiments with Saracen thrust and nonrogue combo have showed that the damage output is ridiculously low, ie at level 12 my shield was doing more damage than my weapon <didnt want to go into polearm, went thrust n board instead>. I think +Thrust spec will be a nightmare to level due to low damage output, besides taking in consideration that most Middie tanks have their thrust resistance maxed out i dont see why this even should be considered as an option.

PS: at level 12 saracen armsman, shield 10, thrust 8 <i think>

Yeah Saracens can be Paladins, I'm one, I also have a 2h thrust Paladin. I have around 5 97%+ weapons ranging up to fine alloy you can have if you like.

Or you could just do a Highlander Thrusting Polearmsman for truely insane damage, and more hp's than a pally....

Yes ven, we all know about that one... but I was discussing the hitherto considered gimp class Paladin.

Gods of PvE, Laughed at in RvR (until it's time for a rez).

I was started on this idea ages ago, and only recently reconsidered it when I watched a level 50 paladin solo a shadowblade and hunter.

Bartar I think it was. Not sure who he killed, pretty sure they were low on endo from fighting others recently, but man he owned them.

Mid tanks often don;t have maxed thrust resist. I very commonly get a decent + on my damage vs middie chain wearers.
As for the thrust pala, I'd suggest briton, to get decent hp.

Well, I'm thinking of respeccing my paladin to thrust but it would mean I have to go find a lot of new weapons and the styles for 1h thrust aren't that good for a paladin to use since there are a few that require an evade.

The evade styles are crap anyway. There's beartooth off block (6s stun) which is nice and some good positionals. The anytimes are a bit weak though.

also we've had a really nice Legion dropped 2 handed thruster that procs a lvl 50 attack speed buff....nice

I'm fairly certian I'll be respeccing to Thrust when we have the oppertunity (already using 2handed ) Only problem is a lack of good 2h Thrusters, but with crafted weapons, that isn't really much of a problem. Hopefully it'll help un-gimp me RvR-wise as well as looking cool

Make an armsman instead, he will own much more with that 2 hander thruster than a paladin + armsen gain dex as they lvl, 2 hander thrust is I think 25% dex and 75% str.

and if u dont have some magic game is so boringgg
the only problem with paladin is that epic armor is total crap

and most palas are gimbed!

Best for pve!
good tank for rvr without slam!

42 shield
11 parry

good tank for pve
Very good tank for RVR !!! stun OWNZ!

worst pve paladin
Best damage dealer for rvr!! chain users feel the pain!!
