Anyone else noticed this? Boob+butt threads were mega popular before but now they arent. And pretty same with the rest, don't even know why half of them exist. Does the mafia stuff still happen? :d

All things live and die,
they just die a little slower as a sticky

I think you naturally tend to look away from sticky threads when there are too many of them. It gets annoying when you have to scroll down half a page or more just to get to the interesting bits - threads which have been updated.

I'd guess sticky threads are useful for new users who want to get the feeling for a forum by reading any useful information the moderators consider important, but I doubt this forum gets many new users! :p

Unsticky all but one important thread and inside it put any important info and links to any other threads which might be interesting. The popular threads will naturally get bumped anyway, there is no need to sticky them to make them all official in an effort to get everyone to post there - because it has the opposite effect.

Who stole my monitor?! Damnit!

Seriously though, the forum headers, forum navigation, page selction, useless wiki announcement (who cares?), 6 useless sticky threads (of which 3 haven't been posted in this month) - takes up two thirds of the available viewing area in Firefox for me (screen running at 1680x1050 resolution). It's not quite as bad as FH General Discussion, where you have to press page down before you can see any real threads!

Does anyone care about a pointless wiki which hasn't been updated in over 3 months? It was fun at the start and now nobody cares.

Does anyone need a permanent scoreboard for a game which hasn't been played in months? Just post the updated scores at the start of the next one!

Does anyone need info about an IRC channel which seems to have all of 3 users in it? I seriously doubt it.

Do we need a specific thread for videos? Anyone who wants their video to get attention starts a new thread for it anyway, so people can rofl and lol at it in that specific thread instead of all the replies getting mixed up in one megathread.

Are the boobs/booty threads so important to all users that they have to be stickied? I know people here like boobs, why not just let people naturally keep the thread on the first page with new submissions. Once it dies off I'm sure people will think it's a great idea all over again and start a new thread doing the same thing.

I don't mind sticky threads, but when you keep pointless threads stickied for too long they lose their effect and people will avoid them and their eyes will focus on the non-sticky threads. Grrrr! :twak:
