Now this guy was a true racer. I remember him leading a BSB race I was filming last year, and he actually slowed down and let the other guys catch up to give the crowd more entertainment.

I heard him being interviewed on R5 earlier this year and he said he was retiring at the end of the season and was thinking of becoming a commercial helicopter pilot.

I don't really have a point

Is a shame though, sounded a good bloke in that interview.

I was shocked when I read it in the papers last week, he was as Tom says one of Britain's unsung sporting heroes
