STEF on a Video Excel TNT2 Card

Has anyone manged to get Elite Force working on a Video Excel TNT2 card, or am I fighting a loosing battle - Just built a second PC, consisting of a Celeron 433, 128MB Memory, 15" Monitor (Bit small), and the above Video card, all I get is a grey screen when loading the game. Have tried all sorts of drivers, from the one I get with the Card, to the latest nVidia Det 3, but alas to no avail. It did sort of work a couple of times, with loads of blue rey lines, and text which was unreadable. I put the Geforce 2 MX card out of my PC in it and it worked fine, but hey whats wrong with the TNT2 card ? Anyone ?

erm well i dunno what to tell you, EF works fine on my TNT2U, all i can say is try the Detonator drivers, the ones that work best for me are: 7.58, but i am running Windows 2000 so it mite not be the same, and also read tho the EF tweak guide here: http://www.3dspotlight.com/tweaks/voyager/index.shtml

Nvidia Nightmares

NVidia Cards are a nightmare to get stable. Mine crashed all over the place in various games. Windows 2000 solved it for me, along with some tweaks from this site:

Never had any trouble with my nvidia cards... steady as a rock for me

i never had probs with my 1st creative geforce1 card, now i got the creative geforce 2 mx and no probs either.

Beware Nvidia own j00! (to 3dfx llamas)

Just to let you all now - The riva TNT2 card that I had unfortunately got damaged by a rather large hammer, and I believe a window was also involved.

I have now purchased a Geforce 2 MX for the said machine which is running fine
