Steam etc help

Hi, I have recently formatted my pc, I have installed cs/steam etc since but when I go into Video options it wont let me play on open GL it comes up with something about not having the right software, it only lets me play on "software" and the other one which is annoying because software is crap graphics and so is the other one. It all ran fine before but isnt now, any suggestions?
Also, for day of defeat it wont even let me find any internet games :F

Had the same sort of problems when i Installed CS:CZ but once steam got a hold of it and updated/patched everything worked fine, have u updated CS via steam?

I've had this issue, have you the latest version of DirectX, and of course your video card drivers?

Also, have you installed all the motherboard drivers from the cd that came with it?

Hmm havent downloaded all the new drivers etc, will give it a shot
Hopefully it will work
