Gaming service Jolt have done a deal with valve software allowing their content and software distribution system "Steam" to offer local UK content, and more localised patch updates.
Steam is Valve's pioneering content distribution platform, currently employed to bring instant patch updates and messaging facilities to tens of thousands of Half-Life players on a daily basis.
"We are pleased to be able to provide this service for UK gamers, ensuring lightning fast Steam content delivery and updates." said Jolt Operations Manager Keith Hardy.
Jolt is currently the only Steam service provider for the UK, and the agreement will enable UK gamers to continue updating and playing their Half-Life based games online with the minimum of fuss. Steam will also serve as an online launch platform for the highly anticipated Half-Life 2.
