Starting problems.

Hey folks.
Decided to start up my DAoC again but having som problems.

After I installed the game (Daoc/Toa, Catacombs and Darkness Rising)
and reopened my old account I had some problems loging in.
I enter my username and password and I come to the screen where you have to choose a server. When I choose one and then press Play the following message appear.

"Dark Age of Camelot was unable to get the path to your Application Data directory. You may need to change your security settings"

I have never experience this problems before. However the last time I played around a year ago I used Windows XP and now I use Vista 32Bit

Anyone got a solution to this?

The game currently doesnt work with Vista at all.

I have been playing up until patch on 25th (yesterday) on vista

Are you now saying all vista users are fooooked since this patch
cause i know i am but im not sure if its vista related cause i havnt managed to get my server version from 1.64 to 1.88 yet since re installing game!!

Solution to that problem (i hope)

Right click ur daoc (client) shortcut, goto properties

Click advanced button, click "run as administrator" (u have to be logged in AS an administrator for u to be able to click that option)

I hope this helps

Also, if u get an error where u come into ur charactor selection screen and all the faces on ur charactors are RED, ye ur game wont work becuase of vista (YET), goa are currently working on a solution to this problem and we have it will be out by today

oh and btw, when u try and log in, u will get 3/4 way through ur loading bar (the loading bar just before u reach the daoc world) and the game will bomb out on u with an error message stating
" Has stopped working" <---- exactly that, or maybe one work misplaces, but it wont say the daoc name, dont worry, its being fixed

But that solution up there will fix ur current problem

I would be happy to get that far, just reactivated after 1 year, bought licenses for Darnkess Rising and am now stuck with both of my accounts looking at the dreaded "another invoice in progress" screen. God help me I guess.
