You guys should check out this game, in decelopment by an indie studio. Real time Space fleet sim with tactical battles where you explore the sector and do missions/find abandoned spaceships to salvage or tow home to repair and add to your fleet. Customizable ships and colonizable planets with many different factions and an insane amount of ships and tech/replayability. Modding community is huge as well. Really immersive!
