I think there is a mod for EF1 called Stargate

I could imagine that there could be a good game in Stargate ... some sort of squad based FPS, a sort of Ghost Recon with aliens, different environments, mad giant pyramind spaceships, bald camp guys with snakey things in their gut, flinging telekinetic blasts about & so on and so forth ... it'd be fun! surely

We are currently working to get a working Alpha, we are trying to get a public release done asap, but we are currently short staffed (I am the only coder :S).

Keep checking the site for updates, screenshots etc.

Gate travel is not possible at the moment, due to the limitations of the BF engine, and lack of an SDK.

when(if) dice release an SDK, then we can look at adding it, as it stands now though, the gate is just a nice piece of scenery :S
