I no longer wonder why people hate star wars 1-3, because to be honest...4-6 wasn't much to begin with

I think a lot of it is nostalgia/Rose-tinted glasses effect. I mean I watched eps 4-6 again recently and yeah they're nothing special. But you've got these images in your head of them being amazing films

Comon...it was the 70ies! And for that time, the movies were pretty damn good. Storywise... well... it´s a fairy tale.

Even without the rose-tinted glasses, I´d prefer 4-6 over most modern SciFi movies.
