Spotted this on VE3D, very cool looking game, lets hope the curse of Star Wars games doesn't afflict this one.

New trailer showing digital molecular matter, euphoria and havok physics working together to create a new level of awesome. To me a jedi should be using brains and environment rather than just a lightsaber -I hope there is a worthwhile story and some non-combat gameplay to go with all of this ;-)

That looks beautiful Now, as Maz pointed out, lets hope this is not just a run and gun. No matter how much fun it will be to use the Force to throw storm troopers around, it will get old after a while and then the players will be looking for some substance.

If the premise is that you are Darth Vader's secret apprentice, then I hope you have some choice in whether or not you continue to follow the path of the Dark Side. Be cool if you could break Darth's hold on you and kill him before Luke manages it

It is looking pretty awesome, hope they can give the tech to raven and they can make a sequel to Jedi Academy or a new Dark Forces game.

Sorry to be a nerd but technically it was the emporer who killed Vader when Vader picked him up and the force lighting pretty much fried his suit.

New videos show some gameplay ... I'm sorry but I don't think I'll be missing a pc version of this game. Unless it is highly moddable and a decent mod comes out ;-)

Just played a bit of the demo, its no Dark Forces 2 or Jedi Outcast.

Wasnt overly impressed with the demo - a few nice touches like imbuing your sabre with force lightning but otherwise a bit "meh"


This game looked good when it was first announced but alarm bells rang when they said lucas was heavilly involved tbh


Also darth vader sounds sh*t

Played through the demo again this morning,

I think it may get better further in the game, when you get better moves, don't like the fact you get health from killing people and the demo level was a bit bland, I imagine the Felicia levels may be more interesting and I didn't like the button bit for the AT-ST, also I did one move and the camera flipped and followed the guy I had just forced pushed across the room, suppose its for cinematic quality but it was a bit odd.

Just played it, pure sex wee. Fucking brilliant, imagine God of War with lightsabres, force powers and stunning physics.

Absolutely loved it.

The demo wasn't so bad. The controls aren't as tight as the top action games and the lack of move cancelling is a big problem, but it was pretty fun.

The QTE sucked though.

I've played through this a few times now, certainly got a much better grip on powers and combos and force throws, full game should be great with even more powerful abilities.

The gameplay and character movement is a bit stilted, and not as smooth and flowing as say the recent Tomb Raider games. And the targetting is a bit awkward to me. You can be facing forward with the camera, and the Apprentice is looking off/facing the side, and imo when you do anything it should be in the direction the camera's pointed, not the direction the character's facing.
