yeah the controls needs getting used to, and the tactical map sucks horribly. even the online parts suck as all u get to fight are desperate fanbois :(

i got stuck half way through the game trying to stop some exploded planet from exploding even more planets. i gave up after the 30:th time.

So much potential and yet such a poor poor game. The legacy of Star Trek is rapidly being destroyed by crap games, crap films and ill thoughtout scripts.

Played it on the PC, however I'd heard how bad it was, glad I only wasted bandwidth on it.

If you think the controls on the xbox are annoying, you should try it on the PC where they flat out don't work!

Apparently it's an unfinished, previously cancelled, game from about 2 years ago, which bethesda made the developers release with little extra work. Boy does it show.

In short avoid it, it's a dogs dinner!

I played it through because i like a good space sim. Simple fact is it doesnt get fun till about 1/3 of the way through but then ramps up to being quite fun although ending with you going 'is that it?'

Not worth buying though :)

Is there a better space combat/shooter on the xbox 360?

No, but that doesnt warrant buying it tbh. Just wait for something better or try something like darkstar one on the PC, is a recent, decent title that springs to mind.

I personally didn't think Legacy on the X360 played that bad at all once you got used to the controls. Yes it could of used more work.

inactionman, also your info about it being a previous developed game is totally rubbish. Bethsoft never had the license for Trek till around 18 months ago. So there is no way the developer or the publisher could of developed a trek game before that as it was held up in legal issues with Activision, and the now CBS Consumer Products.

i only rented it because it has bethesda on the box, and being able to get 2 titles for 7 quid seemed a nice bargain.

good job project 8 took up all my day and cramped my hands, other wise id of been pissed.

I would avoid it. It has far too many bugs.

Not really my cuppa waiting for Lost Planet (who isn't?) but the Burning Crusade coming out next week so i will pretty much be off the 360 for a good 3-4 months because that will keep me entertained for a good while.
