I can't go in standby mode, it recommends updating drivers, but I can't find the drivers at microsoft.com/hardware only the intelmouse software. I've tried the knowledge base but nothing specific.
It was actually the keyboard device driver that wasn't letting me go into standby, i thought the error mentioned the mouse but it o ms natural pro, which I never had. So I ignored it and wrongly assumed the mouse because it was the new addition to my computer.
The problem was adobe type manager which I installed along with photoexpress 3.0 edition, which I un-installed because I couldn't save the photos I'd cropped as jpg files, but I left type manager thinking it might be useful oneday.
