Staff styles...

...there just isn't enough variation in their appearance!

Warning: Lafala is about to start whinging, close eyes now or skip to end of post...

A little while ago, I found my first staff drop that was actually a different style to the pink crytal staves. But it didn't exactly look very impressive... In fact, when I equipped it, a guildmate said to me: "Wow, that's the first different looking staff I've ever seen - you look like a shepherd now..."



So what it is with the lack of stave styles? It's not fair <sulk> when all the weapon users get this huge selection of differently styled swords or hammers or maces etc and all us casters get to choose between is the pink crystal (which is quite nice, but you see them everywhere...) or a sheep herding stick?

And another thing - I wish someone would sort the Hibernian helms out! I am a proud (and vain) elf who vehemently objects to having to wear a bowl on her head. Bleugh!

I appreciate it's a bit pointless moaning about it here, but I was mainly wondering whether anyone else was bored of the lack of variation, or whether there does infact exist many different styles but I've just never come across them...

Couldn't agree more about the helms but at least you casters get more spell effects than us weapon users who have a blurred effect and that's it.

Have to admit though, would be nice to see more types of everything out there.

Hehe, I got a blue, a brown and loads of the normal color staffs. I was hoping that my Dark Shard would look like, well a Dark Shard, but no looks just like my lvl5 staff

I carry several staves with me at all times for different focus effects.. most look different and two of them even glow when I enter combat mode! (mages being great in melee as they are )

You could try wearing a hooded cloak, but yes you're right Hibs helms do kinda suck ass.

Actually, in my storage I have a staff that dd procs, but I can't use it yet because it still cons purple to me

Does anyone know when a dd proc on a staff takes effect? Is it when you spell cast? Or is it when you enter melee? (that would make the staff proc pretty useless for anything other than soloing).

The staffs proc like everyother weapon... when its yellow... and im guessing its a staff from corus and have a melee dd proc of somewhere around 88... júst guessing...
