- Increased the range of the Chant of the Brawl line to 1500.

- Decreased the reuse timer on the Warcry and Battle Shout lines to 15 seconds.

- Added a new shout in the Warcry and Battle Shout lines. War Howl is a new level 43 shout and Battle Roar is a new level 50 shout.

- Skald base hit points have been raised.

Had a look at Team Skald Board -

HP increase looks to be approximately +70hps to a buffed L50 skald. Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick

DD Increase is the big one, and for a skald using the L43 & L44 DD's, not only do you get a low shout that will be resisted a lot less, the effect of additional dmg and lower recast times means that damage increase from DDs will be around 50%!!!!!!

Can you say "OOP"?

It's not really that "uber" when you consider that for the last DD you gotta give up 44 Weapon what at least for Hammer is totally gimping..

giving up 44 Weapon is not really totally gimping.

My Thane was specced 48 SC 42 Shield 42 Hammer and with +15 Hammer and good buffs he did OK (not great, just OK)

Skalds are on a better weaponskill table than Thanes are so a buffed Skald will have more weaponskill than an equally buffed Thane.

I think the 50 Songs 43 Weapon route is gonna be a very very viable option for Skalds.

Parry still being lame, I think Skalds definately deserve Evade 2 like Minstrels get.

Still think Skalds need some unique chant/self spell at 50 Battlesongs to go with the 50 DD, and then drop the song of rest to 49 Songs spec.

Skalds still have the worst defence of all Hybrid Tanks in the game on paper.

Speccable Parry
Evade 1
Chain

Give them Unspeccable Medium Shields and Evade 2 to bump their def a wee bit imo.

That said, YAY for Skalds, some well deserved love

[Edit] Btw the HP boost is via a HP Table boost that puts you on the same table as Champions, Paladins and Reavers, aka the Hybrid Tank Table, nice but again, its not uberduber, its about 70hp extra fully buffed.

We'll see how the resist rates and damage increase from the shouts will be. Good move indeed.
Some extra defense ( read : some defense ) would be great to bring the skalds where they should be.

Whay u call it "getting loved"?
Its just not very succeful try fix broken char. U still need high RR for staying alive coz u dont have any deffence, u still needed in grps only for speed as only useful grpability, u still dont have any useful RA, u still hit like girl ( slow or not hard - 2 options ) etc etc ....
To bad that all Goa/Mythic testers ( if there is any ) are playing in alb

cool at least something to be happy about. Dont think ill respec to 50bs though unless the dd proves to be very good. Sledgehammer is a great style and not prepared to give it up just yet

Albs need SoS for roaming due no insta mezz.. Mids got insta mez. Although Sorc mez has huge range, it's no use when being jumped.

but wait for RA review... I hope that all class specific RA's will be addressed.
