FH news SQL Server rebuild

Dear Freddies,

Please accept my apologies for the downtime the last two days. The main SQL server suffered a raid failure and failed to one drive. This is unacceptable.

So I ordered two new 1TB Samsung drives, Thursday migrated the SQL server to a virtual server, hence the downtime. Yesterday I rebuilt the physical server and suffered many problems, mainly, that MCP55 does not like NCQ.

However, after some fixes I took FH down tonight to migrate the SQL system back to the physical server. Services should be ok, maybe a little faster.

Hopefully these new drives will last longer than 3 years serving the FH community!!
