Ultima Online tried something like this, only they didnt hand out free subs ( totally shite incentive imo) they actually gave out some uber items to the players who introduced the new players (after the newbs played for 3 months) I got a m8 to play UO whilst this was on offer, so it worked !

Give free artis of your choice at L10, and more peeps would be interested saving a small amount of cash is no big deal tbh...

So they can give out free time to anyone introducing friends to a server that can`t cope with the population it has now but not compensate the poor souls persevering thru the current mess of OT and bugs.Could a GM please write out a genuine reason/introduction email they`ve sent to a friend( assuming they have some ofc ) so i can see what they wrote?
