went on a relic raid tonight and when our army got the the relic keep we were duely attacked and mashed by MORE than 5fg of enemy, thats after we were at the relic keep for approx 5 mins and no more(prolly more than 5fg but i lagged so bad i couldnt c proper)
on the way i hear a group attacked and killed guards of a keep which i guess gives some of us away but it in no way allowed that many mids to organise as they did in such a quick time =/
anyway, i guess in any war there r spies and our war is no diferent.
to the spies in question tonight on the alb raid on mid, u suck ass !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol yer some geeks were aggroed apparently on the way by guards and instead of mezzing them they killed them,

my point was the uber quick response to our raid, too quick imo from some of us attackin another keeps guards on the way. i felt that sum1 with both a alb and mid account told his mid mates we were comming =)

We got reports of 5-6fg albs running around, started to gather forces by then. Then suddenly someone reported that 150 enemies were at nott(or some other keep). We pondered this a moment while waiting people to get to svasud.

Then mjollnir fell undersiege. And the rest of the story all know since mid has still 3 str relics.

Firstly, the lag in Odins promted ppl there to et suspicious, then youre little zerg was spotted, disbeleivers thought yeah yeah yeah till you managed to pass Nottmoor and we got [A Viking Huscarl was just killed with 156 enemies in the area].

The maths from there was simple, we knew you were headed for Mjolliner, as you did the same near blend, and most sensible mids are bound now in Aegirhamn, where we can port nicely to Svasud in seconds, then a quick trot to Mjolliner and job done.

Hate to tell you this, but the zerg effect dont work, never has, never will, takes brains to take relics, and Midgard got all the brains. Back to Kindergarten children, cry on mommies shoulder.

As for spies...LOL, you lot are the worst on any server for spying!

Some groups from LFOM where gathering at uppland because we thought bled was under attack. Then we heard the 160 albs at nott. I think every mid logged a char who was in uppland, i mean 290 mids charging at mjol 15 mins after we heard the relic was under attack is the swiftest defence responce i have ever seen

Yeah, we heard about 5-6 fg albs in odins that were "missing", so we were thinking you were up to something. Some of us logged logged chars at mjollner and some others went there. When I first got there with my ubah grey bonedancer you hadn't even gotten there yet. Then I logged another char in grallar to check, then back to mjollner, and lo and behold, loads of albs. And as relic guards were dying, I had to tell peeps that it was relic guards dying, NOT hlid guards (hlidskialf is our keep). And I saw you put up the rams on first door just before I died. So you got owned. You won't get through the mid frontier unnoticed anymore.

Just proof that our relic defence plans are working. I was happily crafting in Bjarken, /as message appears saying 150ish enemy killed patrol near Nottmoor. So I stop what Im doing and make may way to the frontier. By the time I got to Svasud it had been confirmed by a sighting near Blendrake that it was Albs and therefore there was only one target, the strength relics, so thats where I went. Just before I arrive we get guard spam in /gui from the CE relic keep guards saying 212 enemy in area.

Nothing to do with spies at all, just some silly albs that couldnt be disciplined enough to mezz a patrol and carry on without killing it.

Still not sure what I have to think:

1. Mids are great at defending their ream (although funiliy jumpy..you take 4fg of albs to some random keep and 8 fg of mids show up to defend)

2. there was a spy..gathering 99% of the 40+ mids online (250-300 in less than 45 mins as you posted yourself) to defend a relic raid with "only"200 albs seems to smell a little spyish I think....


But then again I give both option 50% to be true....so untill proven otherwise...grats mids in the defence (again, sigh)

My guild is a small one of only around 8 lvl 40+ people. At around 10.30pm ish we had just finished up our level 43 and 45 epics in both the frontier zones and in Vanern Swamp when there was a report on the /as channel saying a guard had been killed with 168 enemies in the area.

Immediately those of us still online headed up to Svasud Faste because that's what we do in Midgard funnily enough when we hear of any large groups of Albs or Hibs roaming round our fronters.
It's the same as what we do if we hear there's someone grey ganking around Vindusal Faste or Svasud Faste - someone goes out and finds out what's going on.

The Aesir's Blade Alliance (of which we are members) is very much on the ball and if you think that our /as chat only wakes up on the call of a 'spy' you'd be sadly mistaken.

If there's three Albies in our frontiers we usually find out about it within a short space of time because we have people in our frontiers all the time, not camping milegates in Emain (admittedly we have people who go do that too just to piss off everyone over there).

So, the moral of this story I guess is as was pointed out earlier by Whoodoo, the zerg is not gonna work

EDIT: I think crying spy too is maybe something you should all think about first before coming and posting to the BW forums. Having a group of people kill a patrol near a relic keep isn't a clever thing to do really. That on its own should have been enough for you all to realise that there would be 200+ Middies on your heels within 10 minutes.

Cut the crap. We have people in odins 95% of the time scouting.
If more than 2 fg is spotted you are scouted and if a keep is under threat of attack people start gathering outside svasud.
Just admit it, we are too good and very organised. You wont be getting those relics at primetime so you might aswell stop trying.

nah Mid's are very jumpy these days

5fg of albs were spotted at AMG (our fault, we sent too many to clear the way). Then a guard got killed confirming the numbers. Had the guard lived there'd have been 5 minutes of bashing on the second door more before the hideous lag and the invading mid army.

can't even attack a normal keep with 5fg without 8fg mids appearing within 10m.

Well played to them it's a shame we can't do that in albion

Whoodoo, I don't think you can post a sane thread without whining or flaming. I agree that the original reply was idiotic and you are replying in the same spirit (we all know no spies were involved this time), but you still insist on lowering yourself to the level of whoever manages to rile you up. We attacked in broad primetime and managed to get one door down. Would you rather have us use your "brains" and attack during the night or early morning?

I feel respect to Albs that they attack relic normal time not early morning or night.
Mids are just good organized these days, its only reason why Albs failed.
Gratz Albs for organizing and trying, and Mids for nice defence and fast action.

It was a fair attempt, you had a bit of bad luck on a Nottmore patrol. I'm sure you will learn from that for next time. I dont think any spies were involved. Midgard is very good at spreading the word on invaders and most tend to drop what they are doing and rush to realm defence.

Yes you should, cause you aint gonna get those relics at primetime.
Maybe the ones involved organising your raids should use their brains and attack at better times cause zerging a relic keep and killing guards at 10:30pm aint gonna get you your relic back, and trust me you wont see many mids moaning if relics are caught non primetime.

Any raid has tell-tale symptons which any numpty should be able to spot. It does nt need for there to be a spy to work out whats going on. However, it is worth taking every precaution to keep any plan and raid as secure as possible.

Grats to the Mids on the swift defence of there realm. There are lessons to be learned by Albs and Hibs from them.

However, I would like to say a big thanks to the Mids who responded to this thread with detailed infomration as to how their defensive intelligence network works. I look forward to exploiting its weaknesses in the future.
