a 36/32 or 32/28 overcharge?

Really, really want to go with this plan but I also don't want to be buying replacement MP parts until the sun goes cold..

if you are prepared to pay the high prices for MP gems for the whole suit it would probably be fairly likly to suceed.
my suit depends totally on 37/32 and MP gem overcharges :)

At the moment it is possible to do higher overcharges that this (ie 14% sucess) I was imbuing some cloth sleeves with a base 20% sucess rate, the first two times i blew up, they were with crap gems, the last time I used 2x 99 and 2x 98 qual and I did it first time.
Afaik gem quality is _the_ main factor in deciding overcharge sucess rates.
remember there are some overcharges that are only possible with 98 - MP gems, make sure you update the SC'ers level and the indervidual gems qualities befor you imbue because if the crafter is too low, or they gems are you WILL blow up.

After the chain MPs and the weapon/shield MP, I really doubt the price of MP gems is going to scare me. Unless I can't find anyway to do em for less than huge profits =P

Only had 2 items imbued so far - both 32/28 overcharges.

First used 3 99%/1 98% gems, second was 4 99% gems - no problem at all, both successful first time.

The spellcrafter suggested I try with lower quality gems - but I preferred not to take any risks, and didnt mind paying for the retries on the gems.

Im planning to have 2 (or 3) 37/32 overcharges on my armour whenever I get around to doing it - it should be relatively simple as long as the spellcrafter is willing to retry the gems for a while :)

i have overcharged 3 items no prob

just make SURE the gems are all 99% or MP

As long as the gems are 99%+ things seem to be fine, i've done quite a few overcharges with them and never sprayed my innards over Camelot yet, whereas with low qual gems I've had a 50/50 sucess rate. A 5 point overcharge with 99/100 and a reputable 1000+ spellcrafter and it should be easy points. But then again...

Use all 99% gems.:rolleyes:

Also avernal necklace is better than that one it's from df too.
