Spell resists since patch

Has anyone else noticed a big increase of outright resists on spells in PvE? Both my Theurgist and Necro have had close calls this weeks with constant resists even on low yellows and blues. I know they changed a few things in 1.62 but I didn't know making PvE harder for spellcasters was one of them.

As if it wasn't bad enough already soloing as a caster, they've pretty much fucked it up completely - I even noticed a huge increase in missed bolt's. You'd think after 50 level's of casting spells a class would know how to do it well :p.

The game is drifting towards 'Dark Age of Meleealot' as they have made survivabilty for most caster classes in RvR almost nil. Now to add insult to injury they make PvE even harder and yet they know most yellow con mobs can 3-4 shot us. Why make it any harder to drop a mob before it gets to you, makes no sense to me at all because it was never 100% easy to begin with.

Something about the block/parry fix that fucks things up with spells. No problem vs yellow/orange for me, but red and up resists go skyhigh (compared to before that is)

YES.
30 - 40 % more resists on high yellows / oranges / reds. grouped or ungrouped.

Im one pi$$ed off necro.

Just dinged 40 tho... so little happier.

Not sure of the thread but theres one about necros not getting help with this till 1.65 - so don't hold ur breath.

Thats funny you see, i was helping pudz in TG and still managed bolting a purple con with a green con spell for 20 damage :]

Yup, definitely a noticeable difference. It is the block/parry thing. I noticed that in a fg if I let the tanks aggro everything and then started to mez, resists were a lot more manageable.

We run pure caster groups in RvR, and the chanters have way more outright resists on their debuffs, and nukes.

Caster groups just got nerfed, and Tank groups are getting it easier and easier.

Dark age of Tankalot, also known as fotm assist melee gank squads :-/

Make the casters viable again, when even chanters are starting to get bad in rvr, something is wrong! :)

Lol at u guys running pure caster grps... sure this bug"fix" has made it harder to resist but cmon... im pritty sure mythic never intended to make it ez for a pure castercrew

Did they intend for pure tank groups without any caster except Sorc for alb?

And to whoever told me to cry more, nah i wont, we're still doing okay in RvR as we're an okay guild with quite some good players.

After all we've seen I don't think ANYONE knows what mythic intended...

I wouldn't be suprised to see a grabbag post soon about this with "we never intended to..." :p

and mids can run a pure caster group without any tank except Skald.

I think there planning on fixing it, maybe like they did with the to hit on higher cons in RvR, dunno though!

I wondered why my chanters heat debuff was being resisted every single time after the patch.

Until after a few hours I realised that when Mythic swapped the spec level for the matter and heat debuffs it had had the side effect of swapping my heat debuff icon on the quickbar prepatch to the new matter debuff and that I'd been bloody debuffing matter for the last few hours and promptly fixed my quickbar.

<hangs head in shame>

Still, wouldn't have happened if Mythic's coders weren't a bunch of copy and paste cowboys.

Did you also know that runies' heat debuff has the body debuff icon on it - not a huge gamestopping issue i know, but just wanted to point it out ;)

yeah something is wrong indeed. Who can forget the spam of the century, when Usp killed 20 ppl within 5 sec or so.

Who does not want that back? I for one are happy to see more tanks and fewer casters. But thats me.
