Spell Peircing on a Chanter

well been looking at temps, and is EC/AT rlly needed in enchanter temp? aye AT looks nice with morph but it rlly aint gonna fall anyone anymore imo. Only reason i use in other caster temps is for the spell speircing, mby ive got how debuff works wrong but here goes!, it debuffs 25% of both item resists and casted resisits which leaves at best 2% resists, 5% from JS takes care of that. the 5% from the jewel not rlly needed. hardly ever ever gonna be nukin non debuffed targets, and been told by other chanter they hardly ever pbaoe. For the rare chance you do pb is 5% more reists rlly gonna make that much of a diff on a spell hittin for that much dmg?
point of it all is that can make a much better temp w/o usin them as the jewel is the 5% peircing that is hardly used rlly worth it?

for baseline nukes spell piercing is totaly useless once you debuff for yourself.

debuff is not 25%/25% thou, its 37% casted, 17% from items or smth like that, unless hib debuff is diffrent wich i doubt realy...

shift+I on my rm say 37% 18% atleast, dont have a chanter but shouldnt be any diffrence tbh.

staj.. you seem to have it all clear etc.. but can you explain how it happens on ccasion that you nuke for (+) damage even though its supposed to be impossible?

unless it only happens on the people that already have less than 10% heat resist...

they have changed the resists debuffs back and forth, it is possbile as shown to debuff into negative territory, this is where the dmg bonus comes into view.

What I can read from staj's other post, is that if you debuff someone with 26% heat resist, and he has no cl or druid/friar/shammie resist, then you will get a 5% damage bonus, aka +xx. If he has 26% and cl resist up, then he will get debuffed to -5% and then the cl resist is halfed, so he gets 0, so you will nuke for neutral damage. Now, what I would like to know is, what are the numbers for a yellow debuff? Would be nice to know, as that's what I got on my chanter and rm atm.

Even without spell pierce, EC has great utility and abilities as well.
The fact it has power regen 2 that stacks with all other power regen is very nice.

If you're an elf i would use AT, the croc morph is great . And yes spell pierce is good even on a chanter.

tested +piercing few patches ago, it actually gives more damage than +damage bonus (vs resists ofc).

Eso didn't you test out that stuff with Traldor's too? Just noted on my chanter that Traldor's pierce stacks to 15%, or at least it shows that on bonuses window.

yes i did. and yes it stacks up to 15% for some reason. might be a bug. /shrug.
