Specializing in Crossbow

What does specializing in Crossbow do? Does it increase damage? If so, by how much every level?

I'm level 23 currently with 7 or 9 in Crossbow, and I hit for a tiny bit below my pike (20-30 damage less), so I'm not complaining. Don't know if I'd hit for the same if I didn't train, though.

Anyone could tell me?

25 apparently is the best spec.
more training is more damage.

...but don't spec crossbow to 25 unless you -really- have to be different . Crossbow is short range and inconveniences you so spec your Armsman by one of the more regular specs (pole, s/s, hybrid) or roll a Scout if you want to play with bows and arrows .















...or roll a Paladin if you want to play a real tank! (I did!)

pretty sure Spathi lvld an armsman xbow spec for a while. no doubt just to hear the incredulity of the players who'd just invited him into the group.

I might be wrong but from what ive seen speccing xbow just increases the chance of doing more damage

eg if you had 1 in xbow and 1=20 dmg and 50=300dmg you would hit for between 20 and 300 damage. So speccing in xbow just increases your minimum damage.

so for eg, if 25 in xbow=150 and 50 xbow=300 with 25 xbow you will hit for between 150 and 300
