Lvl 50 Spear hero Spec Help Pls

I'm Thinking of deleting my champ to make a spear hero and was wondering what a final spec would be.

i had a go on catcombs charbuilder and built this.. :-

Blades : 28
Blunt : 6 (left over points)
Parry : 27
Sheild : 42
Spear : 50

Just a thought.. would parry be higher?? as i thought the S&B could be back up.

Heres my spec if i remember correctly:

Blades 6 (all you need for taunt, u could take it slightly higher till u get de-taunt as well)
Parry 39 (with realm rank and items you can easily get this to 50)
Shield 42 (yet again easily get this to 50)
Celtic Spear 50

I wouldnt worry to much about taking blades any higher than 10 max, as you only need blades for groups where you use your shield. And with high parry and shield spec you will block/parry most blows to you. In a good group with another shield hero guarding you, there has been plenty of times we have killed knights and not one single blow has gotten through.

I think when parry becomes un-bugged in RvR it'll be handy to have it close to 50, as we have a nice spear chain that starts with a parry (works very nicely against mobs, just would be nice to try it out on the mids/albs)

theres 3 specs which i think are good:

1-the true hybrid spec

blades/blunt: 39
parry 31
shield 42
celtic spear 39

2- full cs spec

blades/blunt: 6
parry: 39
shield: 42
cs 50

3: cs/lw hybrid

lw: 50
cs: 39
parry 42


i have spec no1 personnaly cos i like to hit for lots and love having slam

In my opinion the best template, dmg variance between 50 cs and 45 is not so big and you will get 50 easy with realm ranks.

44 1h works excellent in pve, and allright in rvr.

Parry will never work in rvr as it wroks in pve, believe it or not.

Just make sure to get 50 shield with items, the difference between 49 shield and 50 is BIG, dont ask my why but that's just how it is.

In rvr you will want a defensive hero with slam, period.

Not that one handed damage for PvE matters from a spearo as it's the casters that do all the damage.

hmmm if you make a hero now, you would prolly hit 50 after the respec. Therefor I would go max shield and high parry and blade/blunt all the way, cause that the only you need in pve. When you hit 50, if planned to do mostly rvr all the time I would respec to 50 LW/CS and 50 parry, rest in shield and 6 in blade maybe. I'm a hybird hero and I ONLY use LW in RvR, parry allso get fixed soon, so I would go higher parry, and allso put points in parry RA......ah well.....but usually the spec garax have is the best one imo.

My spec ( I gimped LW ):

42 shield
39 blade
45 LW
20 parry

And I'm quite happy with it, the 39 blade style is good, but I would rather take LW to 50 and blade to 6 after respec.

BTW, allways wondered why everyone wanna make a feckin spearo, whats wrong with LW?...looks much cooler have better lvl 50 style (with stun) can choose between slash/crush.

I bet the reason is when you made the hero you was n00b and didn't knew heroes got LW at lvl 10 hahhahaa

Heh! Um i'm a n00b so far as Hero's are concerned.. but i only created the char last nite.. Only put 6 in spear so COULD change to blades till level 10 and LW kicks in.

I just thought that Spear did the most damage over all

Im very late in answering this. You already got many wise replies here. For what its worth I wanted to point you to my hero guide. that I have on the Legends of Camelot site.

For my respec im pretty sure Ill go with the following template:

Shield 42 - Shield slam. one of the most useful styles around.
CS 50 - For a high damage output.
Blades 6 - for taunt. useful in PvE and hunting epic mobs.
Parry 39 - Rest in parry. Can easilly get it to 50 for a nice defence.

I do contemplate specing as full defence though with 50 in shield and parry, and rest in blades. Combined with 1-2 levels in master of parry and master of blocking + Ignore pain, I will be difficult to take down. Perhaps living longer and thus getting a few more slams in on enemy invaders will be more important than doing a lil more damage.. Not sure which way to go here.
