Watched both series again this weekend. This really is the greatest British sitcom ever, and if there's anyone on this forum who hasn't sampled its delights yet you owe it to yourself.

That is all.

Both series are out, and I believe available in a double-pack. This show makes you proud to be a geek.

"Tim. The Phantom Menace WAS 18 MONTHS AGO!"
"I know Bilbo, b-but it s-still hurts."

"What about the Ewoks, they were rubbish!"
"Yeah but Jar Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like f**king... Shaft!"

"Babylon 5's a big pile of shit!"

Spaced is pure class. I've had both series on DVD for ages and ages though I rarely get to watch them cos my mates keep sodding off with them.."OH!! You've got Spaced on DVD!! Oh my god I remember that, it was hilarious!"

"Get off me, you bummer!"

Absolutely. The best sitcom ever, no contest. :D

Keep an eye out for Shaun Of The Dead in cinemas soonish...
Spaced's Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright are the masterminds behind the latest FilmFour production. Conceived as early as late 1999/early 2002, and announced at the Cannes Festival in May 2002, the film is written by Simon and directed by Edgar. It is, according to FilmFour, "a naturalistic character comedy about our zombified couch potato culture, into which crashes a real zombie action movie" - or, as Edgar puts it: "It's Richard Curtis shot through the head by George Romero."
A trailer was shown for it recently at a screening of Jeepers Creeps 2 and apparently it went down very well.

Simon Pegg, to my mind, is one of the hottest tv writers out there today, and Shaun Of The Dead is an extremely exciting prospect. Is he in it? I think he's a great actor as well.

Best ever Spaced moment: After sending that kid crying from the comic shop, Tim tries for a second to regain his composure, then:

"What a prick." The look on his face, the pure hatred for that kid, is wonderful.

I have to join the chorus for this programme, one of my all-time favourites in fact. Richly packed full of classic moments.

(From memory)

Brian walks in covered head-to-foot in a canvas which is in turn covered in paint.

Tim: You've got some paint on you Brian.
Brian: It's a literal tribute to the self-reflexivity of Rembrandt.
Tim: Oh. Did he like it?
Brian: He's dead.
Tim: Well, that backfired a bit didn't it?

Yet again another example of some our best writers, we can still beat the crap out of the rest of the world when it comes to comedy or sitcoms.
