Here's a link to the TronicSound-TC Soundpak. It contains lots of Quake2 sounds sampled in 16bit/22khz quality.
I think it's well worth the d/l (33MB), just rename it to whatever pak number you want (if necessary).
The irony is that I found this over 18 months ago and it never occurred to me that
