So, my headphones arnt working - just reformated comp, and installed drivers from motherboard disk, and still they arnt working, wat is rong with it??

You plugged them in wrong.

heh, wish it was that, but it wasnt, its fine now!

I rebuilt a laptop where you had to install the usb hub befor it saw the real sound card and installed it, that was strange.

The second which was a Viao you had to plug a microphone in then install the modem driver then install the sound card.

So now even if it says the sound card is there i make sure i have no unknown devices and plug a disk key into a usb port

The same here, my pc cant pick up the plug and play headphones. They work when i whack them in my other pc though :/

I keep getting a message sayingfound new hardware, called Media or Winmm Audio Compatability Device. Neither can be updated.

Any suggestions?
