I didnt know if I should slpa this on technation, but hey ho here it is.

I have a Soundblaster 128 (I fink) and a set of plantronics earphones. Anyway I am listening to Music through Music Match Juke Box and the sound level aint to my liking. I have everything on Max and still its a little too quiet for me :(

Is there some sort of sound control thing I could DL to change stuff, balance bass etc?

Most probably your headphones have a high impedance. Choosing different headphones may be the only way to solve the problem. If this is the case, then any software you run will only be able to compress the audio, and not actually raise the peak level.

If you've got an amp you could try running the output through that to bump the sound level up.

How have you got the phones plugged in currently?

Your problem lies within the headphones.

Not to mention that plantronics shouldn't even be considered when purchasing audio equipment.

I don't think my work would pay for a new call centre headset. :/

My only escape is a new job.

I'm currently aligning my safety net while deciding which way to fall... won't you jump with me?

Andy promised to catch me. He seems to be running a bit late though.
