ok i recently formatted my HD and have got everything working now except for my onboard sound device it worked fine before, but now im running xp as before i was running 98, i have tried reinstalling the device and drivers many times and it says the same thing when the installation finishes
"there was a problem with the installation and the device may not work properly". ive tried downloading drivers from the asus website (asus being the manufacturers of my mobo) but the download was a .zip and when i try and unzip em they screw up and some files cannot be unzipped, as i cant get it working is it worth forking out £25 for a cheap soundblaster soundcard?
