So I just updated Vista to service pack 1 and then when it finally finished installing I tried to play some music and got the message:

''Bad DirectSound Driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration.''

So I downloaded the audio drivers for my laptop from the HP website and then when I tried to install them I got this message:

''Driver installation failed. Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.''

Anyone know what might have happened and what can be done about it? Sucks having no music!!

Cheers.

Seems after update HP Quicktouch screen thingy may have stopped working, basically little touch buttons for the volume track skip etc at the top of the laptop and non of those are working. Could that be anything to do with it?
