Hey guys!
OK - this may be a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway
I have a nice set of USB headphones which I use for DAoC so folks can watch TV at home without being disturbed. Now.. the headphones connect to the machine via a normal USB port and the regular on boards sound system is all that is in use (except the USB drivers for the headphones, of course).
I am considering whether I could get better quality sound if I bought a sound card, and here is the question: Would I need to try and find (if they exist) a sound card that has a USB connector on it, or will standard sound cards somehow know I am using a USB port on the PC and direct the higher quality output via that? In other words, does the sound card automatically take control of sound which is output on the PCs USB bus?
I hope the question is clear, if not ask away for clarification of any of it, and thanks in advance for your help.
