Sound Blaster Live! on Quake 2

Were do i get the bittys and bobbys to use EAX extensions in quake 2 and other games if any?
i.e. I just giot meself a nice phat SB live!, i already own some whuparse speakers and a seperate Jamo hifi subwoofer (180 quid), and wish (obviosly) to use surround in q2
or does it work outta the box
although
1. Its OEM product
2. I havent installed it yet
3. When does the free bt weekend start? friday @ 6pm?

lo m8,

if you go to www.sblive.com you should find a link to supported games which will take you to a link to 'IAS'.
Here you will find the two patches to enable eax in q2.
Wouldnt bother yet though as doesnt support multiplayer and will prob crash your pc if you try to use with!
Try using GAME 3D (Space Sim) in the ENVIRONMENTS in the pop down window at top of screen. This should keep you goin for a while.
