Anyone into this band?
I always liked Much against everyones advice from way back in 2000 and it's taken four and a bit years for them to come out with the new album - Any minute now.
Fantastic stuff, mix up straight up rock, indie, chilled out piano tracks and throw in a few synth and breakbeats and you've got a great mixed up album with a bit of everything that just works.
I've only listened to it once and am liking it a lot so far, will give it another go a bit later and will no doubt be listening to it while at work all this week (along with Kasabian).
Soulwax never did get the hype they deserved, maybe this record will get them a bit more recognition and could be a contender for album of the year, although give me a few weeks and I'll see how long it's lastability is. I don't want to be overhyping it just because I'm glad they're back after a lengthy break.
