Sorry to be repetitive but..... AHHHH!!! Another Bug!!!!!

I was installing the new patch and afterwards It asked me to fill in a survey, i said yes and then it did a bunch of tests n stuff, however, when it got to the "sending data" stage, the program crashed, and when i try to reinstall it reckons ive got version 1005, which, as far as I can tell, means i wont be able to install an futher updates... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah i got that when i tried to use the survey, but I closed it down using ctr-alt-del, and my HL was updated anyways.

To be sure I reinstalled HL though.

damm, im gonna have to do that aswell, cos im not putting up with the words 1.0.0.6 in the corner of my screen, even tho it does still work.

no, its just that that one little number means i wont be able to install any more updates or reinstall this one (apart from full versions) and i have to cancel a "Your Half-Life executable is out of date" message box every time i play, despite the fact its NOT out of date and i CAN connect to servers,,,

dont worry, ive fixed it now, found the full1107 update on a PCZone CD, installed that and installed the update over it (skipping the questionaire), then i installed CS 1.3.
