So that if you forget to cancel after the first month Blizzard can whisk the money out of your credit card without having to ask again

hmmm well the games out 11thfeb and you get a free months subscription so why would we need the cards any earlier than 11th march?

He needs them to register his account. You must fill in either a cc card number or gamecard number to register

Because they need to be able to make you responsible for your actions, even during the first free month.

About the method of paying:
I'm sure that I read a few months ago that it would include PayPal. For the moment it isn't listed, does anybody have any idea If or WHEN they will approve it?
