Sorc spec

ello all im playing a sorc now and i was wondering what spec i should go with,
asked alot of sorc´s and got 3 diff spec types

44mind 31 body
46 mind rest body
36 mind 40 body

im a pure rvr player so what spec would be best, any coments and help would be greatfull

im 40 body 36 mind, and i like it a lot , 1 min ae mezz , 1 min ae root, nice dex/quic, str/con debuff, and the lvl 36 mana crack

My Sorc is 40/36 too and I like it a lot - great for PvE and RvR.

You may lose out on the big 44 Mez, but two forms of long-lasting AoE CC in RvR is not to be sneezed at (especially with NF coming and Purge on a lower timer).

40 body 36 mind here too. Quite like it to be honest, would like a bit more damage but don't want to drop mind any lower.

If the main role is mezzing, then I'd imagine fast cast time would be a must - so Inc, Briton, Avalonian or Saracen?

I would go Briton on Saracen myself if I could race respec my Sorc she would be Briton (yeah I know Saracen got more starting dex but Britons look so much better and you can pass as a friar in the right light )

been running arround with pve spec for a while in emain now. (bleu ae mez) and Hibs GP it also. (even if you solo ). so 40body/36mind is prolly the best spec. you sacrifice a better mez which is only good vs randomgroups and a better str/con debuff which is prolly less usefull then dex/quick now. and you have a very high body spec which makes your SC template also alot easier.

Well I am 44 mind 31 Body.

The original intent was to be part of a regular group in RvR, in which case this spec would have been fine as other group members were dam dealers. However more often than not its pick up groups now, and/or zergs...in which case cc has reduced benefits (too many people breaking mezz, hib group purge etc).

With NF CC will have even less relevence...cc at a keep take has limited uses (hard to kill enemies when they have walls to hide behind after 1st hit breaks mezz), and 5pt purge for everyone (although hibs lose unique access to group purge thank god) means cc is almost nerfed to non existance. Also note we are classed as a power class (read nuke) by Mythic for NF RAs, so no pet RAs for us.....so another reason not to go Mind. Mythic continues to nerf CC and will continue to do so, and as a class thought of as CC'ers, it means sorcs will continue to get nerfed imho. Albion needs to start thinking of sorcs as CC';ers in PvE (v good) and Nukers in RvR coz thats what Mythic wants for us.

Albion needs mind sorcs, BUT mind sorcs need RPs for realm skills...and you won't get there as fast as with a body spec.....so I will respec out of mind as soon as I have a dragon stone or a patch allows me, probably going the same as the other posters above.

So, yes, go Body, and nuke their sorry arses, and cc when you can. Sorry Albion.

If I could /respec race I'd probably go for a Briton now, as they seem to blend in well.

However, when I started my Sorc on release day I thought the tall Avalonian model looked cool . . . oh well

i would say it depends on what grp setup you are going to be playing..if you the only sorc ..split spec might be fine, prolly not different from mind spec. if you are going to play debuff caster grps however, i think you'll always need 2 sorcs for that, 1 mind and 1 body. split spec might work here too, but imo just a tad less well (or as the 3rd sorc in a spirit debuff grp, backup cc). nothing beats a str/con debuff from high mind, and the dex/quick debuff from a high body sorc. (throw in some WA, and especially with the inc buff shearing)

40 body 36mind here also
i think this is the best spec (balanced one)
dmg-CC-debuffs
and short inconnu (givf size of luwis )
+25 dex/10%casting time is enough imo to do your job more than well

and about race, if i stared now a sorc i would go for saracen, but inconnu isnt bad enough to delete and reroll. saracen for cc sorc inconnu for nuking sorc.
