The 36 mind gets resisted only slightly more often then the 44 mezz. Also most sorcs spam the mezz 2 to 3 times to take care of resists.

I don’t think the extra area and slightly longer mezz is worth giving up the 1 min root and lvl 35 dd for.

It isn't resisted that much (And like Civy, I usually spam it a couple of times -- the extra range helps with that)


Besides which, when everyone has purged, you will be left with your level 30 AE root .. better hope that does't get resisted 90% of the time

The two slots that hold str on the Chest and the feet peices can be changed to +3 mind magic if you wanted for a total of +6 mind magic if you ditched all the str on the armour... (might be helpful if you are not a sorc but some other caster who wants +11 and +6 magic skills, mind magic only helps sorc charm ability), esp since in the latest patch notes they will make str debuffs not permenantly root us anymore, so str will not be so impt for rvr anymore.

For your information the 34 aoe mezz is resisted an absolutely huge 5% more than the 44 aoe mezz. The 24 aoe mezz is resisted 10% more often than the 44 aoe mezz. If you are getting resisted 90% of the time then you are doing something wrong because your statement there is crap.

I have been messing round with the 24 aoe mezz for a laugh and it is very similar to the 34 aoe mezz apart from its shorter in duration. Don't assume the sorcerer only has to be 44 mind to be viable, we're one of the only classes that has many viable specs in all lines.

as maxgirth pointed out at me using 2 x bracer of health is bug abusing (he is right i think) and i only needed 3 MPs i made a new template
also the cleaning rag is a pain to get under 2 plat so replaced it with a df cloak

well i have the 30 AE root and it usually roots like 2 out of 12 people

After seeing Walkie in action 44 mind is a must imo.. 400 radius is a massive improvement, he very rarely gets resisted

Sure, the level 44 spell will stick better, but that doesn't mean that any other spec combination doesn't work. 34+ mind, 39+ body works very well, in my experience and in that of others.
