Today when I started my computer I had a nasty suprise waiting. As soon as a start a game/movie or something everything freezes for about 30 seconds and then the computer reboots itself. This have never happened before. So now i cant play daoc :(

After rebooting I get the msg that its something wrong with my gfx card nvidia ti4600. I havent changed anything. :(

Scan for viruses
run windows update
update nvidia drivers to the latest version
update directx

(if all that failed for me, id start looking at the card itself, maybe its overheating ? maybe i have a memory problem) but definatly would do those first 4 items

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the gfx card. also ensure the onboard fan is working on the gfx card. but it does sound like a possible memory problem which could mean a new gfx card

:(

Ok here is the msg(Im not sure what the exacly word is, im translating this):

The display units driver couldnt finish a draw measure. Contact the manufacturer and ask for updated drivers.

The display unit driver for NVIDIA Geforce4 Ti 4600 seems to be the reason why the computer became volatile.

Pretty crappy translation i guess :(

I updated the drivers for gfx card to the newest, also updated windows, also its taking ages to load daoc.

I had the same problem. Seems my abit mobo and the gfx card don't like each other.
The problem was solved by setting the AGP speed to 2x in the bios....

If you've not changed anything and this has just started happening then try doing a system restore.
Go to start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore.
When the wizard comes up, make sure the green dot is next to 'Restore my Computer to an Earlier Time' and hit next. Then choose the most recent restore point (highlighted date) from a time when your computer was behaving itself. Hit next and follow the instructions.
This rolls back the Windows system files to a snapshot taken previously and is completely reversable. It won't delete any emails, documents or suchlike although if you've installed/uninstalled any hardware or software since the restore point you'll need to do that again.

woho

Well I got it working now, I was suspecting that it got to warm inside the box so I opened it up, cleaned off some dust and started it and ran daoc, so now its working fine must have been to much dust or something.
