It seems is only for Japan bud for now, word leaking out of Sony U.S. is that they are sticking to the original price point over there for launch as they can't afford to take a bigger hit on the inital 500,000 destined for the U.S. Japan are only getting 100,000 units on day 1 so the hit won't be as big. Japanese customers are generally much more price sensitivethan Americans as well. Sony are only lowering the Japan price on the base system because Wii pre-orders have been massive over there, far bigger than Nintendo have had for any console launch since SNES it seems. Oh and that £225 launch price will never happen any time soon in the U.K. as you are using the current exchange rate and not the $1.5 = £1 exchange rate that all console makers have used for over a decade, as always us poor Brits will get stung. Expect at least £250 but more like £279.99.

Aye, the new premium pack is a much better deal in many ways, you get PGR3 and a wireless controller for £299. Thats an extra £70 odd quid worth of gear for £20. A price drop to £250 would have been much wiser though.

TBH MS as rich as they are cannot afford to drop the 360 as they make almost zero profit for every 360 sold.

Erm Microsoft have $30 billion in cash reserves bud, they could give it away and it wouldn't break them ;) They are selling it at $100 loss per unit though.

Hold on, the premium already came with a wireless controller... are they now giving two away with the premium console? £20 more for pgr sounds like they are still making a profit on the software side, as most bundles give you two games for not a lot more than £300.

2 wireless controllers yes and a copy of PGR3. £32.99 for the wireless controller and £39.99 for PGR3 so it is a roughly a £50 saving.

Comon dude you think they are making a profit by selling premium+PGR+extra wireless pad?

Tard.

They are still not making a profit on the bundle.

This is a Microsoft Bundle not a GAME bundle.
