Sony faces $90.7m patent damages

The US courts have ordered Sony to halt sales of its Playstation consoles and over 40+ games in American on a dispute over its controller technology.

Immersion Corporation claim that Sony's Dual Shock controller for its two PlayStation consoles violated its patent rights, a claim which Sony has denied. Sony has already lost a patent infringement lawsuit and the outcome does not look promising.
