Anyone like 'em? I just got Daydream Nation and I've been listening to it all night.

Dirty, Goo and Whitey album. Ciccone Youth are an offshoot band of SY, its pretty much the same stuff tho - Whitey is by them.

Tbh anything from about '84-'94 and you can't go wrong. They are still good just have some random duffers since then.

Try the Butthole Surfers, Mudhoney, Fugazi and there's another band whose name has escaped me for a sec - they did Asbestos Lead Asbestos...grr cant remember.

i would have ever compared Fugazi to Sonic Youth, but i recently got Dirty, and its a bit er, well lacking in tune, which i suppose is their point, but i like track 7 a LOT, the rest may grow.

as for Fugazi, well they just rock, a lot tighter than Sonic Youth, in that they seem to be precise, where as Sonic Youth seem to be deliberately not so.
