Well, not that it took me long to get through the first run (2 sessions because I had to go out) but this is a serious fucking improvement over Episode 1.
It actually plays like a Sonic game for a start.
Loads of nifty little bits in it like the return of the Sonic 2 special stage, playable Metal Sonic from Sonic CD levels (the way they show him coming back in made me mark out, superb touch) but only if you suffered through owning Episode 1.
Massive levels in proper detail as well, it's got all the visual touches in it that the rumoured knock off (Sonic Fan Remix) did and then some.
This is probably the first Sonic game that I've played since Sonic & Knuckles that's actually felt like it's a proper follow on from the original MegaDrive series.
Any of you guys taken it for a spin?
