Ok you're in your car. Now depending on what's happening you could play a funky theme tune to feel more in the mood.

For example: Mission Impossible Theme - you and a mate jump into the car and are in a rush to get from A - B.

mmm crap example, but I hope you know what I mean :)

Ah how about the A-Team theme music when your bombing down a busy street.

Right that's my 5min break over. time to crack on with MOHing BW :/

What you want is a really calm rock song until the chorus, and then when that comes up you zoom around, turning like a madman.

Interesting thread! I singled out some tracks to make a "car oldies sing along put smile on your face" sort of cd not long ago.

This is what I came up with:

Good thread!

When I'm driving up the motorway in the rain to see my girlfriend I always stick on All Along The Watchtower by Jimmi Hendrix and pretend to be 'I' from Withnail & I.

Keeps me smiling and a-rockin'.

:D

I listen to minsitry of sound clubbers guide 2002 or gods kitchen the journey.. always good with a decent system like me :D

also depending on mood theres a bit of D12 on rack 3, rap is what i listen to on the way to work as its prolly the last thing i had on and cant be arsed to change it for a 10min drive...

Linkin park sometimes but gives me utter road rage, most listened to at the moment would be.....

Ja Rule - Pain is Love.

If your bombing round town in a showing off stylee, then anything clubby, Drum & Bassy or mental punky is required.

If on own, or going more than a few miles, I find Moby and/or that 3 CD Classical album my mate got works wonders.

I only have a tape player and radio in my car and hunting about amongst the random pile of unlabelled tapes while negotiating rush-hour traffic I find to be a Bad Thing so it's radio 1 mostly and radio4 when I can't cope with the banality any longer :p

Bah, my MiniDisc player broke from heat damage last summer so up til last week I had been without any music. Now I have put the original 'Seat' head unit back in, its a bloody tape player and I don't do tapes so its Radio 1 for me :(

Its not so bad, catch the end of Chris Moyles every day ;)

The end of Chris Moyles, now that's a thought. Preferably dropped from a great height.

Just a thought, but if your driving loonnngggg distances, at odd hours of the day, you need something that keeps your attention ie. talk radio or radio 4 or some such shite. Whilst not being "hip" it keeps you awake, which in turn, keeps you alive (which is nice)

Listening to a track which youve heard a thousand times before, does not keep you focused.

That said, Greenday "insomniac" is my personal fav for round town, short blasts to/from work etc.

Or the Tweenies if my daughters in the car-

:)

well, bearing in mind i have 2 cars the music selection is different for them both.

In my modern car (corolla estate) I listen to all the dance music, MoS, Hybrid, etc etc, something to get u going.

In my older car (78 mg b gt) I have to be careful with what I choose. - Modern Dance music Is bad - It usually makes it sound like some important part of the car is going to fall off somewhere, So old classics are the order of the day - Imagine driving along past the beach to David Bowie Golden Years, Jimmi Hendrix, etc etc. I did have to take Feeder - Just a day out of the cd player though as I was in danger of loosing my licence with that one....... must drive like out of Gran Tourismo 3 ....../... must ....go......faster.................
